WEN Workshop: Create the Marketing Plan that will Grow Your Business

Have you ever created a marketing plan at the beginning of the year and then find it again the next year realising you never touched it? This is the workshop that will get you self-analyse your strategy, get peer feedback and expert advice, gain collaboration opportunities and accountability partners.

Requirements  to participate:

  • Fill out the one page marketing plan form
  • Prepare your existing marketing materials
  • Be ready to present your one minute elevator pitch with mail goals.

OCT Event Agenda : Part 1

  • Experienced Facilitator will lead a small Circle of less than 6 people. They will talk about their targets and have the GROUP help determine if this focus is correct.
  • Next the group will determine if your message is correct for the intended target group and if any changes are needed.
  • Finally the group will work together to try to uncover new connections, network, marketing options to find the right target market and set goals.

Type A - Defining Your Target Market is a never-ending process

  • One page marketing plan review, goal setting
  • How to get the right target clients?
  • Are you asking yourself the right set of questions?
  • Is your branding and personal branding hitting the right target?
  • Elevator pitching - are you a good representation of your company?
  • Website & social media review - are you positioning / selling yourself correctly through your website? Which marketing activities have ben the most effective in the past and what can you improve over the next year?
  • Collaborations - have you been leveraging collaborations to grow your target audience? Who would be your dream collaborators?
  • Where to find/network with people who share your target clients? Brainstorm new ways on how to use your network as influencers to expand your reach and potential for sales leads.
  • Where to network to get the client?
  • BONUS: Business matching with people attending the workshop on that day + personal reference

FEB Event Agenda : Part 2

  • Present your company growth goals, 1 min elevator pitch, marketing materials checklist and marketing plan.
  • Participants that have completed Part 1 will review their one page marketing plan goals checklist. Discuss what worked and what didn't and formulate a Company growth chart.
  • Experienced Facilitator will lead a small circle – Their focus will be looking at goals set in October and target market ideas and find out any road block or successes.
  • Next the group will talk about best practices in trying to ask for referrals from multiple groups, ask for client feedback and find partners with same target groups.
  • Finally, the group will work together to come up with events, partnerships and collaborations on the spot to help one another with target marketing.

Type B - Scaling up your business (Smart way to Grow Your Business)

  • Analyse if your marketing plan is bringing in your expected growth. Discuss what is missing and how to adjust your strategy.
  • How to ask for referrals
  • Building word of mouth
  • Getting Client's feedback
  • Enterprise vs Entrepreneurs: Bringing corporate best practices to SME's
  • Government funding/ways to fund your business/reduce your costs
  • Building your IP, scaling your company (including exit strategy)
  • Business matching with people attending the workshop on that day + personal reference
